An Architecture For Contract-based Communicating Agents

چکیده

We extend AgentSpeak (L), a belief-desires-intentions architecture, to reason about and plan with contracts between communicating agents. Our architecture is hybrid in the sense that it incorporates both immediate reaction rules and a more complex planning component. We represent contracts as first-class entities to allow the relationships between agents to be specified and developed separately from their built-in capabilities. The agent’s problem-solving ability is augmented by outsourcing tasks to other agents. The contracts are represented as event calculus rules which dictate the evolution of obligations and permissions on the agents concerned. The event calculus is used deductively to infer current and past obligations and permissions, and abductively to make plans to fulfil obligations subject to any restrictions imposed by the contracts.

Cooperative Agent Architecture based on the Language-Action Perspective

In this paper the architecture and implementation of Cooperative Information Agents (CIA) is described. Taking a language-action perspective to the design of CIAs allows for the specification of obligations and authorizations, and results in the separation of tasks (things the agent must do) and contracts (mutually agreed commitments to the course of communication). The architecture describes t...

A Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents

Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....

The web-based sla monitoring and reporting (WSMR) system

To provide high-level quality of network service and prevent contract dissension, a Service Level Agreement (SLA) is an essential key factor in telecommunication industry. While most network service providers normally offer an SLA communicating with legacy monitoring or reporting systems, it is needed to suggest new architecture of an SLA system for accommodating legacy network management syste...
